Pocket paintings are one of the easiest and quickest ways to boost creativity.
These little gems only take about 10-20 minutes to complete. This makes them great projects when you're short on time. They're also great for warm-ups to help get the right side of your brain, the creative side, activated and ready for larger paintings.
Best of all, you have a sweet little painting you can keep, give as a gift, use in other crafts. or scrapbooking. Win-win all around.
I did this painting on a piece of 300 lb cold-pressed watercolor paper 3.5 inches by 3.5 inches.
You can use any colors you like for this painting. Really get creative and make it your own.
My suggested colors are:
- Cobalt blue
- Green Gold
- Olive Green
- Pyrrelene Green
- Cadmium Yellow
- Transparent Orange
- Raw Sienna
- Burnt Sienna
- Lamp Black or Sepia
- Scarlet lake or Cadmium Red
- Maroon
I hope you try this little painting. If you do, I would love to see it!
