I have been obsessed with these watercolor crayons for the past few weeks. I experimented with some black scrap paper to create this fancy fish painting. I also used some white gouache to brighten the highlights.
Tips:
- Build up the colors by layering the crayon colors and then using a lightly damp brush to blend them.
- Use a stiffer brush than you would use for watercolor. I used some of my acrylic paintbrushes.
- Don't try to apply crayons to really wet paper because it won't stick.
- I used tube gouache to paint in areas I wanted to be more opaque. Like the body and the white highlights.
Have fun!
