ABOUT

BELIEF #1

You don't need talent to become a great artist.

BELIEF #2

You're never too old to start doing what you love.

BELIEF #3

You should be able to create art on your terms, not by other people's "rules."

I'M VIV

Most would describe me as a mother, wife, and art teacher. But in reality, I am so much more than that. And so are you.

Our desire to explore our creativity with watercolor may have been put on the sidelines by life's responsibilities, but that doesn't mean our desires have to stay on the sidelines. Let's break free from other people's perceptions of what an artist should be and start indulging in the joy of watercolor painting our way.

Join me on an artistic journey of self-expression, creative discovery, and forever unapologetic about our artistic processes.

MY STORY

As the daughter of an Appalachian mountain mother who only had an 8th-grade education, I was taught I only had one choice in life, get married and start a family. While I did indeed get married and start a family, I also put myself through college where I earned degrees in art education and nursing all while raising my family.

While I enjoyed working as a nurse for years, I still felt the pull of my first love of art. After a lifetime of taking care of everyone else, I finally decided it was my turn to do what I loved. I dusted off my degree in art education and I began sharing my passion for art by teaching classes in my community which eventually lead to building my online watercolor school. I have learned life is too short not to do what you love and I also learned that once you reconnect with your inner creativity, and step into who you are really meant to be, there’s no going back. If you’re ready to put yourself first, reconnect with your inner artist and create a life you love, I am ready to lead the way.
